Under the expanded maternity law, allowed po mag allocate up to 7 days sa father kahit hindi pa po married, babawasin yan sa 105 days na leave for the mother. Can this maternity leave be reallocated or transferred? A female worker entitled to maternity leave benefits may, at her option, allocate up to seven (7) days of said benefits to the child’s father, whether or not the same is married to the female worker. In the absence of the father, the female employee may still allocate said maternity leaves to an alternate caregiver who is either a relative within the 4th degree of consanguinity or a current partner, regardless of gender, who shares with her the same household.

Tama po ito. Nakapag pasa na po ako 7 days maternity leave allocation sa partner ko kasi hindi kami kasal. Submit lang ng form sa employer if employed or file thru SSS website if voluntary.

Ang alam ko po pwede since sa company na pinasukan ko before nagtanong ako. Kawork ko kasi si partner. May certain requirements lang and duration pero meron po. 🙂
