Taking my son for his 6 month vaccinations. A friend suggested that I give him panadol 30 minutes before to ease the pain. Do babies really suffer so much from the jabs that I need to give him a panadol?

No. It is not advisable to feed paracetamol before any vaccination. When fever develop after injection, it indicates baby's immune system is fighting with the virus. If you worry about the pain of the injected area, you can use cold damp cloth to gently press on the surrounding of the injected area. If the injected area is bleeding, please bring baby to doctor.
