For my experience: 1) Drink lots of water 2) Walk it out!!!(take a 10-15 mins stroll with your husb it really helps) 3) Elevate your legs 4) Ask your husb for a little feet massage(if possible) I still get water retention but it doesent swell up sooo badly to a point that i cant walk Walking on the other hand helps reduce the swell

Elevate your legs with pillows/blanket when sleeping. The swelling won’t go away until you give birth. It will be reduced in the morning but becomes swollen again by end of the day due to prolonged standing/sitting during day. When sitting also should not ‘hang’ your legs

Drink more water. When you’re regularly well hydrated, your body won’t feel the need to cling on to any fluids. This will reduce water retention. Also elevate your legs after a long day standing.

Try wearing compression socks if you need to sit at your desk for long hours
