8months refuse to drink plain water.
Any suggestion what i can do to make my LO drink plain water?Every meals my LO refuse to drink plain water,what should i do?
Its ok not to drink water. My son didnt like plain water either. What I did was I just slowly dilute his fm bit by bit(he was eating well) over a few months until fully become plain water and wean him off fm at the same time. While dg that i also let him practice drinking milk using straw in cup to make him familiar with normal water bottle & decorated the bottle with his favourite cartoon characters stickers.
Read moreIt’s fine not to drink water as baby is still getting milk at this stage. My baby was same, but I didn’t force him to drink water. Over the time when reduced milk he drank water. As long as baby’s not dehydrated or no digestion issues, don’t worry about their water intake.
A PD told us that it’s ok that baby that young doesn’t drink much water as milk is still the main source of nutrients input
