Baby

My son is 9 weeks old. If i put him on his back he cries bloody murder. So I carry him and he stops crying. I carry him and if I sit down, he cries again. So I'm always standing and carrying him. This started happening about a week to two weeks so far. I was wondering if this is normal and when does this phase pass.
