Does Singapore allowed public nursing? I am bringing out my 4 month old baby 1st time out this weekend to shopping area. I prefer to latch him on the spot rather of searching for nursing room. Please advise.

Frankly, I am not sure if it is allowed but yes I have seen it done discreetly - i wouldn't have noticed if I didn't look carefully. Eg - baby was in a carrier/wrap or ringsling and there was a hoodie for the baby while baby was latching --- in the mall, in the train, etc ----so I guess it's ok. Then there are the classics of doing it with a nursing cover. If u not using cover, there will be looks but I don't think Singaporeans will harass u. I nurse with cover in nursing room as husband is over protective. If u want, u can save these website - it reviews of nursing rooms of malls - handy list for quick rush to diaper change http://bumblebeemum.net/nursing-rooms/ http://www.madpsychmum.com/p/nursing-room-review.html?m=1

Than you mummy. This is very useful info!

I nurse with a cover, carrier or at times just airism bra top with a loose top. I make sure my top and airism is the same colour so ppl don't notice that I am nursing. Even husband thought I was merely cradling baby. The loose fitted flowy top helps to just cover the right amount of skin and not cover my baby's face. I am a nursing mum for almost 5 years to 3 different babies thus far. never had a bad experience. just perverts oogling and hubby gets very defensive.

I nurse my baby with a nursing cover in public be it in a restaurant or on public transport. It was nerve wrecking on our first try, me looking into the cover all the time and he trying to get into position, we were on a MRT home during peak hour then. Husband was with me and helped me to put on the cover and standing next to me throughout. Baby was wailing by the way. People Ard me turn their back against me to give me some privacy. So yeah, it can be done!

I usually nurse with a cover but the one day I forgot to bring my cover out, baby was screaming non stop. It took a lot of contemplation before I decided to nurse her without the cover. There wasn't any negative vibes so it's all cool :)

It's legal to nurse anywhere in singapore - public or private places. I would always nurse in public (recently stopped nursing). And only half the time I would use cover. Mostly just latch where ever I am.

I've nursed publicly with a nursing cover and have not had any stares. So, I guess if you're discreet about it, no one will really bother you :)

Yes it's legal in Singapore to nurse wherever and whenever you want, using a cover or not, depending on your preference.

Thanks mummy for sharing your experiences.:)
