My parents said I shouldn't buy baby stuff unless I'm nearing my term because of an apparent pamahiin, I suppose. Can anyone explain to me what is it?

Ok. Pamahiin is just pamahiin and has nothing to do with anything. It's not real. But of course you have to be extra careful during the pregnancy. You can buy any baby stuff you want but I suggest do it after you find out the gender of the baby.
