is it wrong?

hi parents, i observed that my baby has been trying to sit up up (shows signs like chin and arms reaching forward) when he’s resting on a pillow. so i helped my LO to try and let him balance and sit on his own. surprisingly, he was able to balance for a while and i didnt try to let him sit for too long. i also took a video to show to my in-laws and was kind of reprimanded not to let him sit and wait till LO is ready. am i hurting my LO for making him sit..?

I am all for going with baby's cues. if baby looks ready for it, nothing wrong with trying it. if your baby is hurt your baby will communicate to you by fussing or crying. idk why your in-laws think baby is not ready.... who are they, doctors? infant/toddler experts?? just do what you feel is right. baby is not crying that means you're not hurting him. if baby can balance, means baby's body is ready
