Only a small percentage of babies are actually born on their due dates though. . Around 64% of babies are born between 39 weeks and 41+6 weeks. 13% are born and 38 weeks, 6% at 37 weeks 3% at 36 weeks and 2% at 42 weeks and over. The remaining 12% ar e babies that are born preterm earlier than 36 weeks. . So basically you are likely to go into labour around your due date but not on it plus baby will come out at the perfect time.
