Paano ba ang procedure ng tvs?

Transvaginal Sonography is done early in the pregnancy to get a better visualisation of the growing foetus. Sonography uses sound waves to create an image. So, it is considerably safer for the baby. However, sound waves have limitations and transabdominal ultrasounds, or scanning the baby through tummy cannot be very reliable in the early period of pregnancy as the uterus is folded in a certain manner. As the pregnancy progresses, the uterus grows bigger and can be viewed by a transabdominal USG. During the procedure, an ultrasound probe is inserted inside the vagina and a 360 degree view is obtained. So, along with the uterus, the doctor can see the other organs like ovaries as well. It is a relatively painless procedure, and is quite safe. It could cause a bit of discomfort, but you will soon be having transabdominal scans. I hope it helps.
