Our 2-year has been biting her fingers out of the blue. How do we tell if it's due to teething or she's just doing it out of discovery/pushing boundaries? We tell her to stop doing that but she does it on purpose again and smiles cheekily :(

You can check this page to see if she exhibits other signs of teething: http://sg.theasianparent.com/be-prepared-for-babys-teething-symptoms/ She should have 20 milk (baby) teeth. If not, it's probably teething. You could offer her something to soothe her gums with. Cut banana or watermelon into sticks and freeze them.

hey not sure if you can directly say if its due to teething but check for other symptons of teething. if those exists then it might be teething. You dont need to worry if she is just doing it for discovery. its very common at this age, she will stop once she loses interest

thanks
