is it normal

Is it normal for a 4 months baby to salivate alot? And he puts his fingers in his mouth and bites them? Signs of teething ? I got him a teether.. he uses that awhile and gets bored of it. And back to his fingers..

Not a sign cause mine have been doing so for a 3 weeks.. teething usually last few days only
