Hearing test
Need advice. My child went for basic hearing test today and both ears pass. However, the doc suggested to do deep hearing test which need to be done sedated to confirm he is not deaf. Is it really necessary to do the deep hearing test, since basic already pass?

Hi June, To my knowledge, no the additional test is not necessary. When in doubt, do question your doctor further - why is he administering the test? What’s the reason? Is there something he knows that he’s not telling you? Alternatively, get a second opinion. Dr Belinda Murugasu or Dr Hamilton are great go-tos.
