C section date

Hi mummies who have gone for c sec, do doctors usually just give one date or a range of dates to choose from?

thanks for the reply everyone! hmmm mine gave a single date only. I wanted a day later and was told there is a $1k charge for choosing date. $2k if it falls on weekend.
