You generally have a say unless you require csect for medical reasons - then it's always safe to follow your gynae's cue. Do note that choosing your own date and time will incur extra charges on top of csect costs. I discussed with my gynae and took up his suggested date and timing, after consulting briefly with a fengshui master (if this is your main concern).

I'm speaking from my experience with private gynae lah so I hope it's accurate info for you!! :) The extra charges if you choose your own date and time are due to the consideration that this could be during the gynae's normal operating hours or during his "off/weekends". For example, if you pick 9am on a Tuesday, likely his clinic opened /opening on normal Tuesdays and it's taking up his appointment timing! If it's his clinic is usually closed on Tuesday, then you're taking up his break time 😂 Haha if you choose Sunday, hospital and anaesthetist charge extra for OT and all also :) I think in your case, quickly consult your gynae and ask him or her to give you a date based on your condition and concerns so that you can prep best! ❤ Take care and wishing you a smooth delivery!
