1) hi mummies, for those who have a choice between half day and full day childcare, and have experienced both, I would like to hear from you which one is better in terms of sleep & learning? heard that some parents tried half day but this caused the afternoon nap to start even later and full day was better. 2)Is it ok to start with half day and switch to full day, as some CCs say this will only traumatise the kids 2x instead of 1x. 3)Also some CC says that it's better to spread the learning as compared to trying to teach them lots in half a day. will they miss out alot if they only attend half day CC? thanks all for yr insights :)

1) Half day and full day it's the same class. They won't seperate the kids into the respective session. Just that when time is up, your kid will just go home where the rest just proceed with lesson. Usually afternoon naps would be around 1pm? So if yours is half day, your kid will go home and have his nap at home. 2) You can just start with full day. First week bring the kid home after lunch before nap time. Kids need time to transit. Who knows your kid may be enjoying the lessons in school. 3) I believe in the morning they will focus on learning, whereas after nap time could be on hands on activites. Yes they may miss out on certain activities if they attend half day only. Hope it helps!

txs Jorell!:)

I would say best to put full day, in any case if you want to fetch your child early you have the option of doing so. Also if you need to attend to something or run errands, you can pick y our child up at a later timing. However if you opt for half day there is no exception at all. Also nap time is very important. If you pick your child up after lunch. He will also need time to settle down which maybe a little too late to have a nap. Please consider.

I c..yeah coz mine still young..feeling abit heartbroken to send him for full day..I guess i need to overcome that 1st:*(

I have the same questions as well. I have found the childcare when my Son reach 18 months and I will put him into childcare. I am thinking whether half day first then go full day childcare. Half day will be with my helper. Full day and I worry he cannot cope. In future, I will get less help from my mum and solely on My helper to fetch my boy and my 4 years old Daughter. Very worried.

also wondering if it's better for us to send fetch vs helper who can let him hang out at home longer (as he wakes up very early too)

Full day. And if you want you can always pick him up earlier. It's not worth the money to put for half way. Otherwise playhroup would be a better choice.

Full Day. Especially if you are working. But if not them try half day first and kids nap at home instead.

For me I go full day child care... Coz it's good... All my kiddo from childcare n now students care...
