Eat pineapple to help on dilation of cervix??

Hi mummies, I am 39w1d today, went to check up and my cervix still closed. Heard that eating pineapple will help to soften the cervix for easier dilation, any mummy try that? Does it help? Thanks

I didn't take pineapple. However I did lots of squats & walking for 2weeks. My MIL also gave me lots of 'cooling' food like raddish & fresh coconut. End up I was dilated 2cm when I went to visit my gynae at 39weeks.
