Bringing home newborn

Hi mummies! How do I bring my newborn home from the hospital if I don’t intend to drive to the hospital? Do I really need a car seat? Or I can use just use the Konny carrier? Is it legal?

I carried baby in my arms and took the taxi home. Didn’t bring any baby carrier to the hospital either.
