In-depth hearing test

Hi mummies, anyone has sent their baby for an in-depth hearing test before? My 3 month old is due for an in-depth hearing test as she had previously failed her automated auditory response test at birth. Even though she passed the otoacoustic emissions test at 2 months, the doctor at KKH suggested for us to do an in-depth test to eliminate the possibility of auditory neuropathy spectrum disorder. Was wondering if there is really a need to do so as it involves sedatives and i also need to fast my baby for 3 hours prior to the test which is tricky because my baby feeds every hour.
