Lip tie & Tongue tie

Hi mommies, Recently I came across people sharing about lip tie & tongue tie, so I went to check my 1.5 month old baby & realised he may have lip tie cause the frenulum is near his gum. But his upper lip can touch below of his nose when I flipped up. I don't exclusively breastfeed due to low supply, so he is on bottle feeding (milk formula & pumped breastmilk) & breastfeed if I have engorgement. I also not sure he has latch problem or my breast & position problem. Sometimes he can latch (not deep latch) & sometimes he reject when he is fussy. So I am not sure he is really having lip tie or having latch problem or he is confuse between milk bottle & breast. Just wondering do KK doctor able to diagnose lip/tongue tie or I should consult pediatrician? Anyway, baby is gaining weight & feeding well with milk formula despite having frequent loose stools (like diarrhoea)#firsttimemom #Needadvice #help

I gave birth to my newborn just 2 weeks ago, and I already noticed that she have trouble opening her mouth wide when trying to latch on me during the first two days of feeding her. It looks like a tongue tie to me, so I asked the nurses to check with a paediatrician to have a look at it. In the end, it really is a tongue tie, but the removal procedure was really simple, just a little snip at the bottom of the baby’s tongue and she’ll be okay in a few hours. I was at a private hospital, so the total cost is about 400+ (consultation + procedure). Regardless of where you’re doing this, it is advisable to get your baby checked asap, you don’t want to wait until your bub is too old, it will hurt even further for them or when they’re an adult, they’ll have a hard time with their speech.
