how to get rid from cough

Hello mommies! Were 5months and 1-day now..unfortunately, I have cough for almost 1week..my doctor prescribed this medicine "loviscol (3× a day for 5-days)". May I have your suggestion please on how to get ridfrom cough without using any medicine. Thank you and God bless everyone!

My husband also have a cough last week. He boiled the ginger then he puts half lemon in it. If you want, you can also put honey so the taste is not that strong.
