Baby Shower

Hi mommies! Is ot okay to host our own baby shower? I read kasi na it should not be hosted by the parents to be para ma-avoid na isipin ng tao na its your way to collect gifts. Dapat daw close friend ang maghost ganun...Your thoughts?
