Sugar withdrawal

Hello mommies, I'm 26 weeks now and I have gestational diabetes. I have totally cut off all sweet stuff for the past 1 week, but today, I can really feel that my body is craving for something sweet. What can I eat to satisfy my craving just a little? I don't want a full serving as I don't want my sugar to spike up.

Be careful with having certain fruits too as some will give you glucose spike. Take your cravings in moderation i wld say, a small portion then drink plenty of plain water & go for a long 30mins walk. When in doubt, do take your readings 2hrs after your snack.

I know how hard it is. my baby craves for chocolates all the time. try eating fruits instead of sweet stuff. It's fiber so definitely a better option. I hope all will be fine.

what are your favorite sweet treats? how about portioning out few mouthfuls and share the rest with hubby?

A slice of ripe water melon?…
