Depo shot contraceptive.

Hi mga mumsh! ask ko lang if may posibility na ma buntis ako. My baby is 2 months old now, 5 days before sya mag two months dinatnan na ako and decided to take depo shot. Now the problem is nag do kami ng partner ko (no condom) 3 days after i got my shot, posible po ba akong ma buntis? huhu please enlighten me. #asking #deposhot #respect_post

Hi po! It’s great that you’re reaching out about this. The Depo shot is usually effective po in preventing pregnancy if you got it on time, but it can take a little while for it to kick in fully, especially if it’s your first shot. Since you had unprotected sex just a few days after getting the shot, there’s a small chance of pregnancy, especially since it takes about a week to be fully effective. If you’re worried, it might be a good idea to take a pregnancy test after a couple of weeks or talk to your healthcare provider for more peace of mind. :)
