Japanese Encephalitis or JE is a mosquito-borne viral disease caused by Culex mosquitoes. It is also the leading cause of brain inflammation in Asia where children are more at risk. Maaari itong mag-progress to severe encephalitis or infection of the brain. As of this writing, JE vaccine is not yet part of the routine childhood immunization program. You can consult your child's doctor to schedule JE vaccine, especially kung malapit kayo sa mga lugar na nabanggit. You can read more about DOH Press Release on JE here - https://doh.gov.ph/press-release/Department-of-Health-introduces-the-Japanese-encephalitis-vaccine-in-regions-most-affected-by-the-JE-disease
