is it normal umbilical cord baby turn yellow and a bit smelly in day 7?

I do recall it will dry up and drop off, you must handle with care. PD did give you cream right? Must make sure you always keep it dry after bathe, And apply the creme. Once drop off, will be much easier.

no. they didnt give me that. they said it will be good if not use any medicine or etc. so how? should i go check?
