Is it true that when your child has recurring cough and colds he/she has "pilay"?

I personally don't believe that if babies have persistent cough and colds, it could possibly be "pilay." I think it's one of the old wives' tales that our elders used to believe. Anatomically speaking, "pilay" seems to have no correlation with regards to a baby's respiratory health. While this folklore may not be entirely true, it may have been based on our ancestor's belief for reflexogy to maintain our body's "equilibrium."
