Does baby sleep in an air-conditioned room? One way is to install humidifier in the room. It helps to give moisture to the air so the baby's skin will not be dry by the harsh environment. Secondly, choose a good bath lotion for the baby. Select those with oatmeal base as oatmeal gives very good moisture level for dry skin condition especially eczema http://sg.iherb.com/Aveeno-Baby-Wash-Shampoo-Lightly-Scented-18-fl-oz-532-ml/47896 Aveeno baby is a good choice! You can grab them from iherb as it's cheaper to singapore market

I apply 100% Aloe Vera Gel on my baby since he was about a month old - about once every 2-3 days and everyday on his bum :) I discovered it worked well for his skin after he had rashes when he was still a newborn and they healed very quickly! It smoothes out his skin and even got rid of scars after insect bites, cuts and sunburns (my toddler loves playing in the sun).

I find that bath time can be quite a culprit when it comes to dry skin on babies. Avoid long baths, and if baby wants to play in his tub, let him splash around in water without the soap. Sitting in soapy water dries skin out. After the bath, pat baby’s skin dry and resist rubbing — too much towel friction can chap baby's delicate skin.

Instead of lotion, apply thin layer of VCO will help as moisturiser. VCO is very safe, pore friendly & act as antiseptic. Hence, will protect the skin moist level and prevent irritation too. Try it and you will amaze by the goodness of VCO.

Im using coconut oil extra Virgin. It's cheap good and natural. You can use it even for bites, sun screen protection, cooking and many others.

Aqueous cream b.p. in the silver plastic tub with blue lid. Available at most pharmacies

Aloe vera is a good alternative to lotion. Virgin coconut oil also helps.
