Pregnancy insurance

Hi I'm thinking of buying pregnancy insurance and am currently at 20 weeks. but I am not sure which is suitable. There is great Eastern and also aia mum2be. Anyone has suggestions on which is the best and covers things like nicu or unforeseen baby conditions. Grateful for any advice. Thanks

I think all maternity insurance cover mother or baby’s complication. However they have a max amount covered. Eg for prudential, i paid $300+ one time. And the lump sum is only up to $5k. They also have package for $10k, max is $15k. If any complication happen to mother or baby, theyll give you one time lump sum. I also top up for life insurance for myself and will auto go to baby for a lifetime once he’s born. Best to also get hospital insurance.

Great eastern is not bad coz stand alone plan. Honestly after comparing GE, AIA, HSBC and PRU i feel AIA and HSBC is the best one coz they have Guaranteed issuance for Healthshield Plan B. I always check plannerbee to compare. https://plannerbee.co/best-maternity-insurance-policies/

We went with great eastern as hubby has compared and felt that they had the most coverage for us. I think you can speak to different agents to see which one you’re comfortable with before making your decision.

Hi, I'm a mum to be and currently at 10 weeks. I'm aia agent myself and has been with AIA for over 12 years. If you need clarification or comparison between GE and AIA you can pm me. Would be glad to share with you.

Hi mummy, I’m a mom to my 1 month newborn also a prudential agent. If you are keen, may pm me so I can share with you more about maternity insurance that prudential offering. 😊

We didn’t really compare cos we were recommended by friends who got aia.. one of them had complications and needed surgery etc and it helped a lot
