NUH subsidized

Hi all. I'm pregnant w no.2 and have decided on a gynae at NUH but I can only see her next year. In the meantime I was advised to go through Clinic G for my antenatal visits while waiting to see her. Can anyone advise on 1. How long before I get an appointment at Clinic G? It's been 3 working days since I went to the polyclinic for referral. Should I call to check? 2. I understand that some mums call in to check if there are last min cancellations to try to get an earlier appointment. Can I do that too w the WOMEN'S Clinic? 3. Has anyone tried going for the first appointment with any gynae at Women's Clinic (private) for the dating scan and then reverted to the given Clinic G appt (assuming it's quite late) I would like to have an appointment at week 7 but I heard that the first appointment can be as late as Week 10. 3. What is the cost of doing NIPT as a subsidized patient? Thanks all in advance!

hi mummy! congrats on #2! I remember visiting the polyclinic for referral to NUH Jade Clinic(subsidized) around week 6 (once I found out I'm pregnant). My first appt was only given when I was at around week 8-9? So before this, I went to my own private Gynae/NUH ED as I have a lot of bleeding etc. 1. So lead time is about 1-2weeks. No point calling to check because they take a super long time to revert. You call the appt hotline, they will tell you O&G is another line so they will call you. then you need to wait for them to call you back. 2. You can do that too at the women's clinic, but linking back to point 1, it takes too much time and effort... 3. Getting an appt at private is also quite long tbh hahaha, depending on which gynae you choose. It's also more expensive I think the first consultation is 270++ - 350++ 4. NIPT is cheap. 700+ only for I-gene. 100+ for Oscar. I'm heading back to my own private gynae after finishing my OGTT test at NUH. really don't like the subsidized clinic.
