I'm going on a 5d4n trip to Bangkok in less than a month time. How do I store my ebm over there? And how do I bring back those ebm? Will the immigration staffs ask me to throw my ebm away? I understand from some mummies that I'm able to hand carry my ebm, but how many packs am I able to hand carry? Pls advise. Thanks!
Will you travelling with your baby? If you are, reckon it will be okay to have your expressed breastmilk onboard with you but if you are not, you are advised to pack them in 100ml containers that will fit in a 1litre clear bag, as per usual LAG rules for carry on baggage. According to my friends though, since Bangkok to Singapore is a relatively short flight, they had no qualms storing the milk in their checked luggage. As for immigration and customs, if you are subjected to checks, reckon if you are forthcoming and cooperative with them, I don't think it will be an issue to bring them in. But best to check with the authorities beforehand via email or something. What my friends did when they needed to travel is that they would opt for the check in luggage option and use a cooler bag or icebox with icepacks. Also, best to check with the hotel if there is a fridge with freezer in the room. If not, you can try to see if they could help you store the expressed breastmilk in their kitchen's freezer.
