Is it safe?

Hello, I’m a FTM at almost 27 weeks. Ask ko lang po, kasi lilipat kami ng asawa ko ng apartment and nasa 3rd floor, no elevator. Nasa 20 to 25 steps ang hagdan papanik at panaog. My question, is it safe na po ba magpanik-panaog during this weeks? My worry is naging maselan po kasi pagbubuntis ko during my 1st trimester nag bedrest po ako for a month but thank God my baby is safe! I already asked my OB about this but she’s not responding. So, nagbabakasali lang po rito kung may same case po ba sa akin. Maraming salamat po 😊

I know it’s understandable na maging extra cautious po kayo, especially after ng bedrest. Kung wala naman pong mga complications sa pregnancy nyo ngayon, at medyo okay pa po ang katawan nyo, hindi po siguro magiging issue ang pag-akyat-baba ng stairs. Pero since may history po kayo ng bedrest, mas mainam po na mag-ingat lang at hindi puwersahin ang sarili. Kung masakit po o nahirapan kayo, magpahinga na lang po muna. I totally understand na gusto nyo po ng sagot mula sa OB, kaya kung hindi po sila nagrerespond, baka po pwede kayong mag-seek ng second opinion sa ibang doctor for peace of mind. Take care po and ingat palagi!

I can understand your concern, lalo na po after ng bedrest during the first trimester. At 27 weeks po, medyo mas malakas na ang katawan natin, pero important pa rin po ang mag-ingat. Kung 20 to 25 steps lang naman po, at hindi naman po sobrang steep yung stairs, okay lang pong mag-akyat-baba, as long as you’re feeling fine and walang discomfort. Pero kung napapansin nyo po na nahihirapan kayo o may pain, mas maganda po siguro kung i-avoid nyo muna, o kaya gawin nyo ng dahan-dahan. Since hindi po sumasagot ang OB nyo, siguro po mas okay na magpa-checkup sa ibang doctor para magkaroon po kayo ng peace of mind.

Regarding po sa pag-akyat-baba ng stairs, generally, okay lang po kung mag-ingat at hindi naman po sobrang taas o steep yung hagdan. At 27 weeks, medyo okay na po ang katawan natin, pero since nag-bedrest po kayo before, it’s still best to listen to your body. Kung wala pong pain o discomfort, manageable po siya, pero kung may nararamdaman po kayong sakit, better po na i-avoid muna. I suggest po na mag-consult with your OB or another healthcare provider para makuha nyo po ang advice na needed.

Hi mommy! Understandable po ang inyong concerns, especially after your bed rest in the first trimester. In general, it's okay to go up and down the stairs, but since you had a delicate pregnancy before, it's important to take things slowly. Siguraduhin po na hindi kayo magmamadali at huminga ng malalim kapag umaakyat o pababa. Kung may nararamdaman kayong hindi maganda o sobrang pagod, mas mabuting magpahinga at humingi ng guidance sa inyong OB. Baka kailangan nyo din mag-follow up for a more specific advice.

Hi mommy! If maselan na po kayo nung first trimester, best to refrain muna sa pagpanik-panaog sa hagdan. For you and baby's safety po ito! Talk with your partner po, baka may alternative solution kayo regarding this, at least until the baby arrives. Ingat po lagi mommy and stay healthy!

As per my OB po, advise niya sa akin na wag mag akyat baba sa hagdan kasi maselan din po ako.
