Hi. I'm currently 37+wks gestations. Expecting my 4th child now. And aged 39. Technically I'm a high risk pregnancy due to my age. This is my first time encounters water retentions during my whole prenancies journey. (As I never came across water retentions before) I've been having ON n OFF water retention since 2nd trimester but lately, I'm having continuos swollen feet due to water retention since 2mths ago. It's is so uncomfortable and my feet hurts badly. Asked doctor for HL as my employers advise due to my high number of mc (as I've been sick during this pregnancy on top of COVID+ and having water retentions, frequent fever n flu) and wants me to rest at home preparing myself for labour. Doctor asked if I needed MC for today n I said can give me HL instead as I do not have MC anymore she said "sorry we can't give u HL. HL only for those who admitted." And she gave me 1 day MC. Seriously? And when I told u about my swollen feet, u don't even take a look at it. All u said is, "oh!, It'll go away after u give birth. Just elevate your legs and walk more" (which I do every single days n didnt help at all due to the presssure on the womb as baby is growing). Few weeks back, my company panel clinic, he gave me 5days of MC due to water retentions as I can barely walk. Encouraged me to rest more n don't walk much. I should rest since im going to due soon, the doc said. How come polyclinic n GP doctors are more concern of their patients than doctors/specialist in KKH? Don't make HL a big thing. Not warded, cannot issue HL. It's case by case isn't it? Why does some hospital are ABLE to issue HL and KKH can't? Ridiculous isn't it? Only HOSPITAL can issue HL as CLINICS like POLY n GP can't. Since I'm at KKH for my check-up, So what's the issue? U can print out MC, but not HL? And 1 more thing, I seriously think that ALL antenatal checkups in hospital should provide us with BABY SCANNING each time of our visit. We don't take leave for nothing! Travel for 40mins each through n fro, meet doc for 15mins, check BP n urine, listen to baby heartbeat n that's it. This is ridiculous. As parents, ofcourse we want to see our baby images through the scan. We look forward to it every single checkups u see. Why? Bcoz the baby is inside us. We miss them u know? Just by looking at the scanning images means alot for us. Make our visit a worth one. Scan the baby each time we come for our ANT check-up. Not buy listening to the heartbeat n expect us to be happy and assume that the baby is doing OK. The baby is kicking inside us. ofcourse we know that the baby is alive n ok. #helpshare
