Im curious if the process of inducing labour is painful? Like membrane sweep?

To me it’s painful.. membrane sweep for me didnt hurt at all but it did trigger my labour to start a few hrs later.. my first 2 inductions was very long n agonising it took many hrs to dilate just frm 1-3cm.. the mmt it hit 3cm i was asking for epidural alr the pain was madness. My 3rd bby i didnt have to induce n i managed to control the pain at hm till abt 4cm before heading to the hosp

Induction of labour involves insertion of a tablet into your vagina (of course, they’ll check the cervix before that).. but the insertion of the tablet itself is not painful. A proper membrane sweep, on the other hand, is very painful. Of course, once the cervix softens and dilates and the contractions come (whether induced or spontaneous labour), the contractions are really painful too
