It depends on the condition, baby’s size, amniotic fluid, is baby doing ok inside/did baby started pooping inside etc etc. Usually if all is good, gynaes will allow you to wait naturally even past EDD.
Mine was all normal at week 39 check up so gynae allowed me to wait for baby’s cue. On week 40.3’s checkup, amniotic fluid was low hence I had to be induced on the same night. 😊
