Low placenta

I’m 18 weeks and having terrible abdominal pains. Assuming it’s because of constipation or bloating or gas. Got worried and went to nearest TMC to check if baby is okay. Fortunately, baby is but that costed me $300. Ugh. Also, the doc mentioned my placenta is abit low. Do I need to be worried? I looked it up on google and some articles mentioned placenta praevia. Some mentioned once it reaches 3rd tri, the uterus will expand more and placenta would likely go higher.

I also had low placenta during my early pregnancy and it was still low during week 20 detailed scanning. Doctor mentioned that mostly it will moves up. During my last check up at week 23, it has moved up. Don’t worry too much about it, but try to have more rest and don’t carry heavy stuffs.

Thank you. Hopefully it’ll move up by my next scan 20th week too.

I had spotting during my 18th week and my gynae told me that my placenta is still low so was advised to rest and mentioned that as pregnancy progresses, the placenta moves up. During my 20th week scan, it did move up! so don't worry too much mumma! take care!

I’m having low placenta and start to have bleeding episodes since week 27, am placed on bed rest for 10 weeks.. gg for my csect this Saturday. Mine did not move up thou.. unfortunately. But I guess majority will :) just rest more and walk less!

I'm on my 16th week and i am told i have a low placenta as well. however, the gynae mentioned that this is pretty common and most of the time, the placenta moves up later in the pregnancy to a more ideal position.
