Placenta Previa

I'm 17 weeks pregnant and i had an OB appointment yesterday. It was my first time to have an ultrasound because i was afraid to go out because of the pandemic only to find out that i have placenta previa.. this is a conditon where my placenta is blocking my cervix...when i was in my 8th week i experienced bleeding...the OB gyne told me that maybe that was the reason why i had expereinced no pain bleeding because it's one the symptoms of having placenta previa...does anyone of you who can enlighten me more Bout placenta previa..
