For my child, it took about 10 days for the stitches to dissolve. But it really depends on the type of stitches used; sometimes absorbable ones take a little longer. You might notice some on-and-off bleeding during the first 3 to 5 days, which is pretty normal. However, if the bleeding continues beyond that, it's a good idea to consult with the pediatrician. Generally, stitches should start to dissolve within 2 weeks, and you should be feeling better by then!
