If my child is born overseas, is it worth the trouble applying for a dual citizenship in the Philippines? What are the benefits of it?

I think it's better to just let your kid decide when he/she is able to. I have a cousin who resides now in Chicago. He's born here in the PH and migrated to the US when he was around 13 years old, and he's a dual citizen. Since he left home, he never returned. My point: If he feels that he would really love to get back to his roots, then let him do it by himself. :)
