Not too sure if you're referring to a type of Play-Doh set or an alternative brand to Play-Doh. Besides Play-Doh, my nieces and nephews also love modelling clay. Modelling clay holds form better - firmer, but after a little use it softens right up. It doesn't dry out or crumble. I recommend the Jumping Clay brand. It is a polymer clay that is composed of non-toxic, harmless water-soluble filler. It is therefore perfectly safe for children. I DIY playdough for my kids. Cheap and safe! There are 2 ways of making playdough: cooked or uncooked playdough. Personally I find cooked playdough lasts longer (although it is a bit troublesome to prepare) and uncooked on tends to harden easily. Definitely Hasbro Playdoh (the original) - we've tried dozens of knockoffs and none of them even came close. There are plenty of play sets available. I would just head down to any department store and pick one that your child likes :)
