Apply loan with bad credit

Hi all. I want to check. If our credit report is bad but we have a stable income. Can we still apply for any kind of loan? Anyone knows? Credit report bad due to one credit card used by ex partner i overlook to pay and they didn’t inform me until 6 months later. So because of that report bad for non and late payment.

if it's due to late payment I think if you maintain timely payment for the next 3 months your ratings will go up. but if it became a default record then it will take 3 yrs before Ur rating improves
