Travelling to cold countries with a 6 mth old infant

I will be travelling with my 6 mths old to Switzerland in the month of March . Not very sure how I should dress him (how many layers) and what are the things I need to prepare for the trip ? Any advice ?

depends on the temperature, the rule of thumb is to add and remove layers easily; and baby wears one more/thicker layer than you. i also brought baby to switzerland in 10-20oC.
