Is Induce a good idea to prevent getting pain from home?

I need some advice please. I opted for elective C-Sect but I only have 7 Dec available (EDD 9 dec). Gynae said that at any time before that i could be in labor hence it will automatically be Natural Delivery. IF i insist on C-Sect, it will then be an Emergency C-Sect. My reason for opting for an Elective C-Sect is because i am home alone most of the time as my husband works 12-hrs shift. Is Induce a good idea to request 37 weeks onwards? I am just afraid if i get the pain from home, i'm worried about the journey, needing to wait for my husband to come home or my mom to arrive or whoever yknow.

Usually induce can be done from 37 week onwards. But this depend on your gynae/doctor advise. Induce can be more painful then normal. And if induce is not successful, you may end up with C Section. Having said that, during contractions, if your pain tolerance level is not strong, you may also end up with like jab, gas or epidural.
