Eating light snacks and sweet during labour

I love sour gummy. So I am wondering if we are allowed to eat sweets in labour room. Was hoping it will ease the pain from contractions.

I wasnt allowed to eat too.. I went to hosp at 130am and all the way till next day 12+am I didnt had any food 24hrs no food no water, i was really dying
