I’m with dr chia yee tien currently and in my second trimester. However, I am having lots of mixed feelings about continuing with her. I understand what others mean by she can be “rude” as she can sound quite curt and disengaged at times - not really a style I would like my gynae to have. Nevertheless, I don’t doubt her knowledge and skills.
A month ago she had prescribed me aspirin to lower my risk of preeclampsia, without highlighting to me any of the possible side effects. Long story short, I had diarrhoea for almost 4 weeks and intestinal bleeding due to the aspirin. When I told Dr Chia about it, she merely responded that this is a very rare side effect that “only occurs in elderly”. This incident left me scarred and as a FTM-to-be, I have lost trust in her.
It’s so hard to find another gynae to switch to as there are so many mixed reviews online :(
