For me, i refrained from taking sweet drinks and reduce sugar intakes. I bought unsweetened cranberry juice. If you have frequent recurrence of UTI, I suggest you to seek doctor's treatment. It is possible that you have transmitted the infection to your husband and both of you should be treated together to get rid of the problem. Normally doctor will give you some courses of antibiotics.

Firstly, you have to drink plenty of water and pee a lot to flush out the bacteria. Avoid foods which irritate the bladder such as spicy foods, alcohol and carbonated drinks. If it's very severe, do see the doctor. http://www.everydayhealth.com/urinary-tract-infections/helpful-home-remedies-for-urinary-tract-infections.aspx

Drink lots of water and take cranberry tablets (was told it is better than cranberry juice because the juice is sweet and bacteria feeds off sugar) http://www.guardian.com.sg/cranberry-fruit-100vcaps/p/126494 http://www.21stcentury.sg/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=124

Since UTI is caused by a bacterial infection, it's always better to visit your doctor and they will prescribe you antibiotics to help with your UTI. :) Drink lots of water daily!

my home remedies for uti are plenty of water and buko juice or plain coconut water..but if it's severe already, better go to d doctor for antibiotics or other treatments.

In this case I suggest you visit a doctor immediately. Do not delay in trying home remedies leat this infection lead to more serious complications.

At home, drink a lot of water and buko juice. But also seek advice from your doctor as you might need proper medication to ease the pain.
