I have broken out in terribly itchy hives in my 37th week of pregnancy. My doctor said it's normal for some women, but I can't bear the itchiness. Has anyone else experiened this? Any safe remedies that I ca try?

Minor hives tend to go away with time (usually they will go away a week after you deliver). Some ladies had pregnancy hives that lasted throughout their pregnancy. In the meantime, it is important not to scrub the affected area. Also, avoid or limit the use of soap as it can aggravate the condition. To ease the itch, you can try taking an oatmeal bath or add baking soda into your bath. Keep your skin moisturized could also help reduce the itchiness. You can also consult your doctor for medications that are safe for you to use.

Personally i do have hives during my prenancy, consulted doctor and its fine to take antihistamine however i convinced myself not to take any medication throughout. The best remedy is to get the oatmeal bath body shampoo from guardian:) it helps to subside the itch:)
