I just got my IUD inserted and it was my first ever birth control measure despite me appealing for ligation but doctor doesn't want to approve. I read in internet that IUD will still get pregnant even though it has 98% chance of prevention. How about in Singapore, is the IUD working good for most mummies? I really hoped I do not have to go through unwanted pregnancies...

I can't comment on normal IUD procedure cos mine was done right after termination of pregnancy, which means I was asleep and not aware what is going on. By the time I woke up, I have normal menses bleeding and even now I have slight bleeding off and on. Not painful but have slight abdominal pain. Have to refrain sex for 3 weeks.
