Newborn not pooing for more than 24h help!

I just gave birth and went for full breastfeeding as suggested by KKH. One side there’s milk, the other not really but they said it’s ok just latch it’ll help in expressing. However, my baby is not pooing and peeing ever since I discharged - 38h after my delivery. Please help me

please go to a&e! to get check if he/she is dehydrate. i was so alone when i had my 1st , called three times to the same ward but mention to keep breastfeeding. my husband insist on buying formula and gave my baby , after he cried for so long he was okay for awhile and then cried again till we went for follow up jaundice the next day , just to know he was too dehyrated despite even peeing & pooping. lucky for the followup. hence he went thru drip & also phototherapy as the dehydration make his jaundice worst.

They also said the same thing to me— to fully breastfeed. (I am a first time mom too). Please go ahead and get formula milk, i took lactogen! First 3 days i dont have enough milk & afraid of jaundice. Lactogen helped me to give baby nutrients as i am developing my breastmilk. I am 2 months postpartum today and baby is fully breastfed! Just combine feed formula & breastmilk then slowly reduce formula. My baby starts to fully rely on breastmilk at 4 weeks old.

This has happened to me, apparently baby is not taking enough milk that’s why. Pls go to A&E as soon as possible, we cannot afford to take the risk of dehydration. 38 hours without poop and pee is not normal for a newborn, you can refer to the booklet given to you by KKH as well.

breast milk normally not enough. buy milk formula too for baby to drink. if baby drink milk alot and poop alot, it will help reduce jaundice too

Is baby not drinking enough, hence no poo and pee? Have you tried bottle feeding? Also, pls go get baby checked :( 38 hours is too long!!!!

Pls go bck to KKH and address the concern.. newborn must pee n poo after 1-2hours…
