Gender Disappointment

I did NIPT and know that my baby is a boy. I’ve been hoping for a girl all my life and I couldn’t help but to feel very sad. I felt like I did not do my best to conceive a girl and disappoint myself. I can’t imagine myself with a boy. Is there anybody who has been through this same issue and is there anyway to make oneself feel better? Update: My boy is 4 months old already! It’s been a wonderful journey for us. The gender doesn’t matter anymore as he’s the most beautiful angel I’m blessed with. He’s so adorable and always bringing a smile to everyone he meets. To moms who are having gender disappointment.. it takes time to accept the fact but I assure you that it’ll be the best feeling when you finally meet your baby. 😘

Same, first baby is a boy but I told myself it’s ok and try for another. No need to feel sad, it’s just fate. At least you have a baby. There’re some couples who can’t even conceive, so don’t think too much and try to enjoy the process.

Don't let your sadness influence your baby emotion in your tummy. Ultimately is your flash and blood. Everyone wish for a healthy baby. That's more important. And you are not the one who determine you shall have a boy or girl.. Its the man sperm.

No one can control the gender, so you dont have to feel sad or disappointed with the gender. I believe so long your baby is healthy and safe, that is the most impt. Cheer up and enjoy every moment of your pregnancy, that is more important.

Why must u be disappointed when u CAN get pregnant with a boy or a girl? Some women wanted a child so bad and they CANT even have their own.. Just accept what gender u get and shower him or her with lots of love..

If u don't want people to comment then don't post here lor. Lol

First is boy and second is boy, i was hoping for a girl for my second but it is still okay. As long as baby is healthy, that is the most important thing. And now im having my 3rd and it's a girl :)

I also wanted a girl, but I am having baby boy. Still love them the same, if not more when they are born. Health is more important, dont blame yourself. You can’t control this.

Sounds clique..... man propose... god dispose..... whichever religion you are in.... your god has decided what is best for you... believe in your God.... jia you...

Boy or girl is a blessing dear, there is always chance for a next one. My husband wanted a boy and I wanted a girl, we were both happy when the reveal was a girl
